Adding Custom Shortcuts on the Home Screen

Ray is able to switch inputs on your TV and audio equipment for any device, even ones Ray doesn't yet support, for example: Playstation, Fire TV, Roku Stick and Chromecast. This is done by creating a shortcut that appears on your home screen as a new icon. Tapping this icon switches your TV and audio equipment.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. On Ray's home screen, tap the Settings icon.
2. Tap on "Devices."
3. Tap on “Add Shortcut."
4. Enter the name of your shortcut. In our example, we’ll name it Chromecast.
  5. Select the icon for your shortcut.

6. Select the devices that are involved in this new shortcut.

Note: This screen is skipped if you do not have an A/V receiver or soundbar.

7. Select the TV input you want this shortcut to switch to.

8. Select the audio device input you want this shortcut to switch to.

Note: You will not see this screen if an audio device was not part of your shortcut.

9. Tap to confirm the shortcut worked.
10. You’ll now see the shortcut on the home screen. Tapping on it will switch your TV and audio device to the inputs you set up.
